* COVID 19 Update *
We would just like to make an announcement in relation to the recent corona virus outbreak.
We will endeavour to assist all of our clients through these unprecedented times in any way we can. As a small team we shall be continuing to practice but reducing our client meetings and offering telephone alternatives.
We would also like everyone to know about the most recent government guidance which will affect small businesses: Effective 18/03/20
1) Employees with any symptoms are required to self isolate for 2 weeks. SSP will be payable from the first day an employee is away from work at the current rates. (£94.25 until April 2020 which it then increases to £95.85). There is as yet no further guidance for those considered more 'at risk' who have been requested to isolate for 12 weeks.
2) A statutory sick pay relief package for SMEs where SSP relating to self isolation will be reimbursed for those two weeks is in the process of being set up.
3) A 12-month business rates holiday for all retail, hospitality and leisure businesses in England.
4) Small business grant funding of £10,000 for all business in receipt of small business rate relief or rural rate relief. This is a fund that is to be distributed by local councils
5) Grant funding of £25,000 for retail, hospitality and leisure businesses with property with a rateable value between £15,000 and £51,000.
6) The Coronavirus Business Interruption Loan Scheme to support long-term viable businesses who may need to respond to cash-flow pressures by seeking additional finance
7) The HMRC Time To Pay Scheme where if you are struggling to pay tax on time standing orders may be able to be set up.
